My heart feels so full these days. I had an amazing birthday celebrated with family and friends. I also have friends finishing grad school and friends starting new jobs. Everyone around me is moving forward and achieving their goals. The universe is working right now and I couldn’t be happier!
Speaking of my birthday, I officially made it over the other side of 25. To be honest, I was dreading turning 26. I felt very unmotivated and kept asking myself how did I get here?! I thought I was going to stay 21 forever, which was wishful thinking. However, I feel very optimistic about this year. I am counting my blessings and I am grateful for all of my achievements thus far. I am feeling very inspired lately and I’m just taking it all in and applying it to my daily life.
Reflecting on the past year, I have to admit I have seen a lot of growth in myself. Not to say that I don’t see growth every year. However, this past year in particular, I see and feel the changes, if that makes sense. Or maybe I am just recognizing them more than usual? Either way, I like it and I’m embracing the change!
I wholeheartedly love the woman I am and continue to become. Nonetheless, we are never done improving ourselves. I believe there is always more work to be done or more goals to achieve. For example, I really want to get back into fitness. I have a love and hate relationship with working out. Once I’m committed and I start seeing results, there’s no backing out for me.
Now, let’s talk about this dress! Stripes, ruffle detailing and one-shoulder neck line – this dress couldn’t be any more perfect! Last summer, off-the-shoulder styles were the must have. While still trending this summer, I am also loving the one-shoulder trend that has also surfaced as well. Baring shoulders are still the craze. However, one-shoulder styles call for a little less skin exposure. I still think its a sexy silhouette and perfect for the spring and summer. One-shoulder tops, dresses, jumpsuits.. I’m here for all of it! It’s definitely one of my favorite trends of 2017.
